NIMT participates in the ECTI-Conference on Application Research and Development (ECTI-CARD 2022)

Director of NIMT Mrs.Ajchara Chareonsook led her staff members participated in the14th ECTI-CARD 2022 (International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology) at Thepsatri Rajabhat University (TRU) during 17 – 19 February 2022.

The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Industrial Technology TRU, assort with ECTI Association Thailand and NIMT. The conference intends to provide a forum for the participants to discuss the latest research showcases in all aspects of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology in Thailand.

NIMT drives the project of metrology application for COVID-19 protection

Director of NIMT Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, together with Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai and NIMT staff joined the Infrared Thermometer Tester delivery ceremony to the healthcare organizations. There were representatives took part in the ceremony from Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital (RFS Co., Ltd.) and Nong Sua Hospital. At the same time, there were other eight organizations joined the ceremony consisting of Nakornping Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University, Health Service Support Center 9 Nakhon Ratchasima, Health Service Support Center 10 Ubon Ratchathani, The Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment Suranaree University of Technology, Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima, Medical Equipment Center Phattalung Hospital, and Medical Maintenance Center Songklanagarind Hospital.

The thermometers which NIMT has delivered to participated organizations have been certified. Users will be sure for result that the thermometers are capable of detecting the temperature of the human body and able to predict the COVID19 infected patients.
NIMT devotes ourselves to help and support the government to service the people and medical professionals in order to reduce the number of CIVID19 patients and eliminate COVID19 throughout the pandemics.

NIMT hands over certified Non-contact infrared thermometers to Siriraj hospital, Mahidol University

On April 7, 2021, NIMT Director, Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, together with administrative team, heads of department and expert metrologists handed over non-contact infrared thermometers which have been calibrated and certified by NIMT to the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. NIMT was warm welcomed by Associate Professor Visit Vamvanit, M.D., Director of Siriraj Hospital and his faculties. In this regard, NIMT and the faculty reported the progresses of cooperation that have happened after two institutes signed the mutual agreements since February 1, 2021.

NIMT supports the faculty about the body of metrology and technical knowledge that will focus on practical to raise the standards of medical devices and laboratories in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. NIMT aims to help the faculty members to upskill and drive researches on medical innovation to meet international standards. The mentioned standards are important mechanisms for product and service industries. It was held at the Siriraj medical alumni association meeting room (2nd Fl.), Siriraj medical alumni association building, Siriraj hospital, Bangkok.

NIMT hands over the certified thermometers to Rangsit city municipality and Muang Pathum Thani municipality

National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation (MHESI) moves forward to send experts in Non-contact Infrared Thermometer calibration to strongly enhance trust with measuring instrument usage at the screening units where supports a proactive testing.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Pathum Thani provincial area, NIMT cooperates with Rangsit city municipality and Muang Pathum Thani Municipality by sending a team of expert metrologists in non-contact infrared thermometer to various official organizations over those areas for building the COVID-19 screening standards. It is a public-serviced conduct as a free of charge activity under the project of non-contact infrared thermometer calibration services for the medical service centers and public service units.

In this regard, on March 23, 2021, Director of NIMT Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn Tonmueanwai, together with a team of metrologists handed over the certified thermometers to Rangsit City Municipal Clerk Mr.Somchai Siwarom and Muang Pathum Thani Deputy Municipal Clerk Mr.Athiwat Taweechokworapat in order to distribute the thermometers to every polling units of the member of the municipal council and mayor in the areas, that the municipal council elections will be held nationwide on March 28, 2021. The standards and certified thermometers raise voter’s confidence and assist to screen people who comes to vote at a polling station.

MoU signs between NIMT and UP on the metrological system development for northern area of Thailand

The first memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NIMT and UP was today signed at the Office of the President, University of Phayao, Phayao province.

Director of NIMT, Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook signed the MoU with Prescident University of Phayao (UP) Assoc.Prof.Dr. Supakorn Pongbangphoon on the 24th of December 2020. This MoU shall remain in effect for five years. The first objective is the MoU intended to ptomote bilateral cooperation in metrological curriculum design and national quality infrastructure development to UP students and staff members. The second is to develop research in metrology and transfer technology to the education and industrial sectors. The third is to support both institutes’ personel development in order to gain conpetencies that two institutes are agreed.

University of Phayao (UP) is the biggest university in Phayao province in morthern Thailand. The university is organized into 18 schools. It focuses on health scieces and technologies. With this MoU, NIMT and UP will support together tighting cooperations to publicize metrology in the northern Thailand.

New NIMT Employee Orientation: NIMT Employee On-boarding

Director of NIMT, Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook presided over the Opening Ceremony of the training “New NIMT Employee Orientation”. This training, the employees have acknowledged related to NIMT mission and strategy, and the working adaptation under its core value “I AM NIMT” to get to the goal of NIMT.

NIMT executives and related heads of the working group gave their lectures on regulation and welfare that will lead the new employees to recognize that they are even one part of the organization.

Online MOU Signing ceremony between National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) and National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ) to strengthen the mutual cooperation.

Director of NIMT Mrs.Ajchara Chareonsook, Assistant of NIMT Flg.Off.Uthai Norranim and four of their head of department members and Director General of NMIJ, Dr. USUDA Takashi and his staff attended the first time online MOU signing ceremony between NIMT and NMIJ on 3 August 2020 at NIMT Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

It is the third MOU between two institutes that present the strength of scientific and technological cooperation especially in the fields of metrology and measurement standards.

The aims of the MOU are including to the followings;
1. Exchange of information related with national metrology system,
2. Exchange of staff,
3. Collaboration in chemical and biological metrology, and
4. Other activities of mutual interest as many be recognized.

NIMT and NMIJ have enjoyed a long milestone friendship with each other. Over the two decades, various programs of cooperation have been established in the fields of research and application of scientific knowledge by individual institutions. This MOU, we will work together more closely towards our common goals and the pursuit of the internationalization of standard measurements.
