Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai opens the NIMT’s meeting on Quality system management reviews (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17034, ISO 9001)

NIMT’s Quality working section under the Correspondence and meeting working group arranged a meeting on Quality system management reviews (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 17034, ISO 9001). Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai, Deputy director of NIMT, was a chairperson of the meeting. He has announced to the meeting to acknowledge the appointing for Dr.Jariya Buacharoen to the position of Quality manager. The meeting was held at NIMT’s Phadung Matra building, Pathum Thani province on 8 February 2023.

The ceremony of taking the oath of allegiance to be a good public servant and a power of the land 2022

The government of Thailand has scheduled other activities to be held to honour His Majesty the King’s birthday on 28 July 2022. One of them was the ceremony of taking the oath of allegiance to be a good public servant and a power of the land. The ceremony was organised for the public servants and government officers nationwide to express their will to be a good public servant and a power of the land in front of the King’s portrait. They took their oath to conduct their duties following His Majesty’s Footsteps as a people of Thailand. It will make the delight and good living conditions of the people and to maintain public order and safety as well as maximise profit of the nation.

At this event, Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai, Deputy Director of NIMT presided over to take the oath of allegiance, together with other NIMT executives and staff members. The ceremony was held at the NIMT central administration building, Pathum Thani province on 26 July 2022.

Congratulations for Dr.Jariya Buajarean on her APO workshop achievement

At NIMT, Phatum Thani on 19 November 2021, Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn TONMUANWAI congratulated Head of Dimensional Metrology Department Dr. Jariya BUAJAREON for achieving the 21-CP-39-GE-WSP-A: Workshop on Digitization of SMEs in the Manufacturing Sector from Asian Productivity Organization (APO). Dr.Buajareon participated the workshop online as Thailand’s representative together with other nominated representatives around the Asia-Pacific region countries during 28 – 30 September 2021.

Dr.Buajareon participated in the whole three-day workshops and shared her opinions relevant into the metrology to push Thailand’s SMEs. Her opinions were interesting and the good practices for the other countries.

Case studies of SME digitization in member countries How SMEs can achieve digital transformation

The aims of the workshop were three focus points;
1. Discuss the latest, most effective methods for digital transformation of SMEs.
2. Share best practices of digitization strategies for manufacturing SMEs.
3. Develop a framework for NPOs to guide and fast-track the digitization of SMEs in APO member countries.

The APO is an intergovernmental organization located in Tokyo, Japan to increase productivity in the Asia-Pacific region through multi-cooperation. The APO contributes to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the region through policy advisory services, acting as a think tank, and undertaking smart initiatives in the industry, agriculture, service, and public sectors.

This the workshop was the important stage that NIMT was able to make an understanding and presented the metrology driving SMEs in Thailand.

NIMT handovers Infrared thermometer tester to Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University

Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn TONMUANWAI and his staff members handovered the infrared thermometer tester to the representatives of Vajira hospital, Vice dean Asst.Prof.Anusaeng Jitsomkasem and Chief of Medical tool office Ms.Somsakul Boonkasem at NIMT Pathum Thani on 22 July 2021.
It is NIMT’s free of charge service under the project of non-contact infrared thermometer calibration for medical institutes and public units. The tester was invented and developed by NIMT metrologists for fieldwork use. Many thermometers being used might be in error and need to calibrate. Generally, the thermometer should be calibrated at NIMT. But, in this situation, it takes much time to do that. The tester will facilitate and increase productivity to screen infected patients. With this project, NIMT can help to serve and support the government closely to reduce the COVID-19 patients in the country.

NIMT hands over certified Non-contact infrared thermometers to Siriraj hospital, Mahidol University

On April 7, 2021, NIMT Director, Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, together with administrative team, heads of department and expert metrologists handed over non-contact infrared thermometers which have been calibrated and certified by NIMT to the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. NIMT was warm welcomed by Associate Professor Visit Vamvanit, M.D., Director of Siriraj Hospital and his faculties. In this regard, NIMT and the faculty reported the progresses of cooperation that have happened after two institutes signed the mutual agreements since February 1, 2021.

NIMT supports the faculty about the body of metrology and technical knowledge that will focus on practical to raise the standards of medical devices and laboratories in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. NIMT aims to help the faculty members to upskill and drive researches on medical innovation to meet international standards. The mentioned standards are important mechanisms for product and service industries. It was held at the Siriraj medical alumni association meeting room (2nd Fl.), Siriraj medical alumni association building, Siriraj hospital, Bangkok.

The Project Proposal Preparation Meeting for Establishment and Technology Transfer on Medical devices

Mr. Anusorn TONMUANWAI, Deputy Director of  NIMT, opened the project proposal preparation meeting for Establishment and Technology Transfer on the Standard of Measurement, Calibration and Testing on medical devices. The medical devices’ stakeholders and experts attended this meeting to assemble the project proposal at the central administration office, NIMT on 10th of June 2020.

Participants

The aims of the project are to train measurement method, national measurement standards for medical devices, and to incubate an academic ability in the dimension of medical metrology. The project plans to support and integrate with educational institutes and related agencies to transfer knowledge and technology about the medical metrology further.

Making-merit for the 22nd anniversary of Foundation’s day
