Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn TONMUANWAI and his staff members handovered the infrared thermometer tester to the representatives of Vajira hospital, Vice dean Asst.Prof.Anusaeng Jitsomkasem and Chief of Medical tool office Ms.Somsakul Boonkasem at NIMT Pathum Thani on 22 July 2021.
It is NIMT’s free of charge service under the project of non-contact infrared thermometer calibration for medical institutes and public units. The tester was invented and developed by NIMT metrologists for fieldwork use. Many thermometers being used might be in error and need to calibrate. Generally, the thermometer should be calibrated at NIMT. But, in this situation, it takes much time to do that. The tester will facilitate and increase productivity to screen infected patients. With this project, NIMT can help to serve and support the government closely to reduce the COVID-19 patients in the country.
