NIMT cooperates for international cooperation with the National Metrology Institutes in various countries in bilateral, international, and regional level. The scope is focused on the development of metrologist exchange, technology transfer, technical information exchange, and participation into meetings in order to develop potential of the national measurement standard, metrologists and Thailand’s metrology system effectively and internationally accepted which will be beneficial to the competitive capacity in trade and to reduce trade obstacles from Technical Barriers to Trade (TBTs) for industrial sectors and other related economic sectors.
NIMT has signed MoU on metrology and measurement standards with the worldwide National Metrology Institutes (NMIs). In order to provide and to strengthen a mechanism for scientific and technical cooperation, NIMT and NMIs agree to pursue scientific and technical cooperation with the MoU that will be expected in the future both between NIMT and NMIs in their wide sphere such as standard comparison, implementation of collaborative research, exchange of researchers and promotion of collaborative activities as the followings;
