Mahidol University Students visit NIMT Labs

Assistant Director of NIMT Dr.Charun Yafa and Acting Head of Chemical and Biological Metrology Department Dr.Nongluck Tanpaisarnkul welcomed Dr.Tinnakorn Tiensingh, a lecturer and his students from the Department of Chemistry Faculty of Science Mahidol University to visit NIMT labs (online). NIMT provided virtual lab visiting. The students freely enjoyed accessing to the labs. The online visiting was held on March 30, 2022  from NIMT, Pathum Thani province.

NIMT hands over certified Non-contact infrared thermometers to Siriraj hospital, Mahidol University

On April 7, 2021, NIMT Director, Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, together with administrative team, heads of department and expert metrologists handed over non-contact infrared thermometers which have been calibrated and certified by NIMT to the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. NIMT was warm welcomed by Associate Professor Visit Vamvanit, M.D., Director of Siriraj Hospital and his faculties. In this regard, NIMT and the faculty reported the progresses of cooperation that have happened after two institutes signed the mutual agreements since February 1, 2021.

NIMT supports the faculty about the body of metrology and technical knowledge that will focus on practical to raise the standards of medical devices and laboratories in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025. NIMT aims to help the faculty members to upskill and drive researches on medical innovation to meet international standards. The mentioned standards are important mechanisms for product and service industries. It was held at the Siriraj medical alumni association meeting room (2nd Fl.), Siriraj medical alumni association building, Siriraj hospital, Bangkok.

NIMT holds hands a joint agreement between 4 institutes on the Excellence Center for Thai Herbal Product Innovation (ECTHPIn)

Director of NIMT Mrs. Ajchara Charoensook signed a joint MOU agreement between Director- General Of Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medical Dr. Marut Jirasetasiri, President of Mahidol University Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., Deputy CEO Acting Director of TCELS Mr. Chairat Sangchan on the Excellence Center for Thai Herbal Product Innovation (ECTHPIn).

The 4 partner institutes on this agreement.

This MOU will be a cooperation centre for exchange their knowledge and human resource development that includes a joint Thai herb product research and development. Moreover, It will raise a marketing on NQI innovative-based Thai herb product.

The related executives and instructors were invited to take part as witnesses in the signing ceremony that was hosted by Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medical on September, 14 2020 at the Kromma Luang Wongsa Dhiraj Snid conference room, Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medical, Nonthaburi province.

A working group of drafting a calibration, measurement and traceability guideline on medical devices organized medical metrology training on the topic “Ventilator” that was lectured by Asst. Prof. Arthorn Sanpanich, D.Eng., from Center for Biomedical Instrument, Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Mahidol University, Salaya campus.

This training aimed to enhance knowledge to NIMT metrologists and other participants from both public and private sectors to draft this guideline at Matra Damrong building, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani province.
