NIMT joins the Thailand LAB International 2021 with the hope that it can help to boost the Thailand’s metrology

NIMT joins the online conference and co-organize the exhibition in the Thailand LAB International 2021, one of the leading laboratory exhibitions in Asia, showcasing all laboratory equipment and instrument covering areas of Analytical & Testing, Calibration & Metrology, Clinical & Diagnostic, Environmental & Safety, and Research & Development. The event is exhibiting about the forefront medical instruments, technology, and innovation through the virtual platform. There are various leading entrepreneurs from both domestic and oversea are joining the event. The conference will be online to promote the tools development of technology, innovation, and application in the laboratories for all industrial sectors. Together, NIMT hopes that it can help Thailand to develop the labs, exchange ideas, and gain the direct investment in the aspect of labs in the Asia Pacific region.

In the NIMT’s online booth, it presents concerning to the measurement standards, production, and increasing Lab’s potential for the industrials. Moreover, it presents how the metrology will be able to improve the quality of life, security, fairness, and public health. The high light for NIMT is “TRM”, Thailand Reference Material that is a certified reference material issued by NIMT, and its designated institute. NIMT needs TRM to be known in the industrials widely. On the top of this, NIMT expert metrologists also give their metrological knowledge in the conference and hope that it can help the industrials meet their needs to increase their productivity and comply with the international standards.

NIMT organises the meeting for the Project of Incubator and Certification on Medical Metrology Academic Ability.

Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of MINT as a chairperson opened the meeting of the Project of Incubator and Certification on Medical Metrology Academic Ability. This project is one sub-project of the Building Entrepreneur Strength on the Thai Medical Industrial Manufacturing and Service with Measurement Standards.

The project’s working group took a group photo with all participants in front of Matra Dhamrung building, NIMT.

According to the cabinet resolutions, the cabinet has agreed with the framework of Economic and Social Recovery Policies to assign the involving agencies submitted their project’s proposals to stimulate economic recovery to the normal. Due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) as the national measurement standards and measurement standards method foresees a necessary to support the medical measurement standards or medical metrology to Thailand’s medical laboratory. Because of this reason, NIMT has organized the projects as mentioned to arrange trainings and advisory to the laboratory. NIMT will support and transfer medical measurement standards’ values including to its measurement standards’ methods which NIMT has originated.

Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of MINT as a chairperson of the meeting together with his team member introduced themselves and their project’s details to participants.

The participants paid their attention to the meeting.

NIMT will evaluate and certify the academic ability and also the comparison of measurement result management. NIMT will organise activities to support service users to submit for ISO17025 certification. Besides that, NIMT will start public relations to public perception nationwide. Lastly, this project will be a preparedness for the laboratory registering submission that reaches to the requirements of Department of Health Service Support, the Medical Engineering Division. The meeting held at NIMT’s Matra Dhamrong building, Phatum Thani province.

Online MOU Signing ceremony between National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) and National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ) to strengthen the mutual cooperation.

Director of NIMT Mrs.Ajchara Chareonsook, Assistant of NIMT Flg.Off.Uthai Norranim and four of their head of department members and Director General of NMIJ, Dr. USUDA Takashi and his staff attended the first time online MOU signing ceremony between NIMT and NMIJ on 3 August 2020 at NIMT Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

It is the third MOU between two institutes that present the strength of scientific and technological cooperation especially in the fields of metrology and measurement standards.

The aims of the MOU are including to the followings;
1. Exchange of information related with national metrology system,
2. Exchange of staff,
3. Collaboration in chemical and biological metrology, and
4. Other activities of mutual interest as many be recognized.

NIMT and NMIJ have enjoyed a long milestone friendship with each other. Over the two decades, various programs of cooperation have been established in the fields of research and application of scientific knowledge by individual institutions. This MOU, we will work together more closely towards our common goals and the pursuit of the internationalization of standard measurements.
