Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai welcomes Assistant Dean from Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University

Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of NIMT and Mr. Mr.Tassanai Sanpolpat, metrology expert, Department of Mechanical Metrology, welcomed. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawatchai Man-Am, Assistant Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University along with his staff came and visited NIMT’s laboratories. This visit aims to allow civil servants freely to visit the laboratories to apply the knowledge, skills and approaches gained from the visit in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. The visit was held on 15 September 2022 at Phadung Matra building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.

NIMT drives the project of metrology application for COVID-19 protection

Director of NIMT Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, together with Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai and NIMT staff joined the Infrared Thermometer Tester delivery ceremony to the healthcare organizations. There were representatives took part in the ceremony from Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital (RFS Co., Ltd.) and Nong Sua Hospital. At the same time, there were other eight organizations joined the ceremony consisting of Nakornping Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University, Health Service Support Center 9 Nakhon Ratchasima, Health Service Support Center 10 Ubon Ratchathani, The Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment Suranaree University of Technology, Maharaj Nakhon Ratchasima, Medical Equipment Center Phattalung Hospital, and Medical Maintenance Center Songklanagarind Hospital.

The thermometers which NIMT has delivered to participated organizations have been certified. Users will be sure for result that the thermometers are capable of detecting the temperature of the human body and able to predict the COVID19 infected patients.
NIMT devotes ourselves to help and support the government to service the people and medical professionals in order to reduce the number of CIVID19 patients and eliminate COVID19 throughout the pandemics.

NIMT and Vajira hospital develop a prototype “Weight scale hospital bed for bedridden patients, disabled persons and elderlies”

Ms. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT and Mr.Anusorn Tonmuaenwai, Deputy Director of NIMT met the executives of the faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University; Asst. Prof. Anusaeng Jitsomkasem, Deputy Dean, Asst. Prof. Chakrawut Maneerit, Director of Vajira Hospital and Dr. Yutthana Apichatbutra, M.D., Deputy Director to hand over “Non-contact infrared thermometers” which have calibrated by NIMT under the project of the non-contact infrared thermometer calibration services for the medical service centers and public service units as a free of charge activity on March 29, 2021 at Bejaratana building, Vajira Hospital.

Both institutes discussed to develop a prototype innovation research about weight scale hospital bed for bedridden patients, disabled persons and elderlies. The bed is as medical device research belonging to Vajira Hospital that the bed reaches standardization, manufacturable, applicable and reasonable cost. The manufacturing applies the principle of metrology to be approved and certified accuracy from the beginning of upstream. Besides that, it reduces government spending. It saves government budget to be not bear the burden of high manufacturing cost, but it gets good quality products.

NIMT hands over the certified thermometers to Rangsit city municipality and Muang Pathum Thani municipality

National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation (MHESI) moves forward to send experts in Non-contact Infrared Thermometer calibration to strongly enhance trust with measuring instrument usage at the screening units where supports a proactive testing.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Pathum Thani provincial area, NIMT cooperates with Rangsit city municipality and Muang Pathum Thani Municipality by sending a team of expert metrologists in non-contact infrared thermometer to various official organizations over those areas for building the COVID-19 screening standards. It is a public-serviced conduct as a free of charge activity under the project of non-contact infrared thermometer calibration services for the medical service centers and public service units.

In this regard, on March 23, 2021, Director of NIMT Ms.Ajchara Charoensook, Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn Tonmueanwai, together with a team of metrologists handed over the certified thermometers to Rangsit City Municipal Clerk Mr.Somchai Siwarom and Muang Pathum Thani Deputy Municipal Clerk Mr.Athiwat Taweechokworapat in order to distribute the thermometers to every polling units of the member of the municipal council and mayor in the areas, that the municipal council elections will be held nationwide on March 28, 2021. The standards and certified thermometers raise voter’s confidence and assist to screen people who comes to vote at a polling station.

Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division, The Royal Thai Police visits NIMT

Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn Tonmueanwai and his NIMT staff members welcomed Pol.Maj.Gen. Pitak Uthaitham of the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division, The Royal Thai Police joined discussions about the action development plan under the personnel, research and innovation development plan for people’s life safety and property industrial accreditation. Pol.Maj.Gen. Pitak visited Chemical Metrology & Biometry labs. During the discussion, both parties agreed to exchange knowledge and experts together for tighter coordination on chemical & biometry metrology. The discussion held on March 22, 2021 at Matra Dhamrong building, NIMT.

Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) arranged merit-making at religious ceremony on the anniversary of the passing of late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on October 12, 2020 at the MHESI hall, Yodhi Rd., Bangkok.

NIMT visits the Sufficiency Economy learning centre at the 17th Military Circle, Fort Surasi Kanchanaburi Province

Deputy Director of the NIMT, Mr.Anusorn Tonmueanwai together with NIMT members attended about the King Bhumibol’s Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and visited the Sufficiency Economy learning centre at the 17th Military Circle, Fort Surasi Kanchanaburi Province.

The centre applied the philosophy consisting of the concept of 3 Forests 4 Benefits, Water is Life, Loss is Gain, the New Theory, and the Sufficiency Economy.

The centre is opening for the people to visit and gain their knowledge following the King’s philosophy.

Royal Thai Police visits NIMT on Raising the Law Enforcement Potential with Metrology

Deputy Director of NIMT, Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai together with NIMT heads of the metrological departments, Group leaders and staff welcomed Commander of Research Division, Department of Strategy, the Royal Thai Police Pol. Maj. Gen. Dr. Zenith Samransamruadkit, and his entourage in the occasion of attending the meeting on Raising the Law Enforcement Potential with Metrology and also discussed for mutual collaborations in the coming future. Additionally, the commander and his entourage visited the metrological labs.

The future expectation between NIMT and the Royal Thai Police’s Research Division aim to integrate potentials to strengthen the measurement and law enforcement that will ensure to the measuring instrument and its process. The meeting held at the Phadung Matra building, Phatum Thani province on September 22, 2020.
