The ceremony of taking the oath of allegiance to be a good public servant and a power of the land 2022

The government of Thailand has scheduled other activities to be held to honour His Majesty the King’s birthday on 28 July 2022. One of them was the ceremony of taking the oath of allegiance to be a good public servant and a power of the land. The ceremony was organised for the public servants and government officers nationwide to express their will to be a good public servant and a power of the land in front of the King’s portrait. They took their oath to conduct their duties following His Majesty’s Footsteps as a people of Thailand. It will make the delight and good living conditions of the people and to maintain public order and safety as well as maximise profit of the nation.

At this event, Mr.Anusorn Tonmuanwai, Deputy Director of NIMT presided over to take the oath of allegiance, together with other NIMT executives and staff members. The ceremony was held at the NIMT central administration building, Pathum Thani province on 26 July 2022.

NIMT trains staff’s speaking skill to be the influencer

In various ways of working, a way to make common understanding is speaking. It is a key channel to communicate with all parties to make the same understanding. Especially, speaking skills for presentation that assemble many elements such as data presentation, storytelling and the view of interesting presentation. Hence, it does not make any audiences or the receivers tiresome but pay attention.

Speaking is the most important skill for presentations. It lets audiences understand the context of the message which the sender will communicate with. Understanding the elements of well speaking, technique and skill for the presentation to be productive is necessary for integrating in the 4.0 era. NIMT Human Resource Management and Development Group is concerned about how important it is to enhance presentation skill to NIMT staff members. Hence, it organised a practical training on “How to speak as the influencer ” to the members. They will be able to get well knowledge and know the technique to speak effectively, feel free and confident to speak, and get to the point. NIMT invited Dr.Payat Wuthirong, a trainer from Institute for Continuing Education and Human Resource Thammasart University for this training. It was held at Matra Dhamrong Building NIMT Pathum Thani province on 25 – 26 July 2022.

Training on Laboratory Quality System in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017(E) Batch 4, Year 2022

NIMT Cooperation and Partnership Development Group organised an online training on Laboratory Quality System in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017(E) Batch 4, Year 2022. This training would increase knowledge to trainees from among public, private and industrial sectors. They will be able to utilise the knowledge to submit for laboratory accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC17025. Trainers were Mr. Warun Laopornpichayanuwat Head of Mechanical Metrology Department and Ms. Panada Panpetch Metrologist of Primary Thermometry Standard Group, Thermometry and Optical Metrology Department. The training was venue at the building of measurement standard development to support the development of the rail system, NIMT, Pathum Thani province on 19 – 20 July 2022.

MASCI audits the NIMT’s ISO 9001:2015 system

Dr. Charan Yafa, Assistant Director of NIMT, was the chairperson temporarily acting as the NIMT Quality System Manager together with NIMT executives and staff members welcomed Khun Natthapon Khantisuk, Chief Auditor and Khun Nantapat Rattanasopha, Auditor from the Management System Certification Institute (Thailand) (MASCI).

This auditing pointed to evaluate NIMT is operating complies with all requirements and productive implement and continuous improvement including to the monitoring. The MASCI audited NIMT quality management system activities, namely, strategy and evaluation group, corporation and partnership development group, building and general administration group, and lastly, human resources management and development group. It was held online at NIMT, Pathum Thani province on July 19, 2022.

NIMT Cooperation and partnership development group organised a training on the topic “Medical measuring device calibration: Infusion pump”. This training was suitable for those who works relevant to maintain the medical measuring devices and other general publics. It purposed to those who attended the training to be able to select a suitable device, understand about correction value, and uncertainty value of measurement.

This training was trained by Dr.Theerarak Chinarak, Senior Professional Metrologist and Dr.Patcharapol Gorgitrattanagul, Metrologist from Fluid Mechanic Group, Mechanical Metrology Department. It was held both online and on-site at the building of measurement standard development to support the development of the rail system, NIMT, Pathum Thani province on 18 – 19 July 2022.

NIMT expert metrologists Dr.Tassanee Priruenrom and Mr.Chaveng Khamruansak from Fluid mechanic group were trainers deliver a training course on the basic of pressure calibration. The course was run in Hybridge learning; online and on-site. Participants could select to take course online or on-site. The participants were from government and private sectors learning about the theory of pressure and how to calibrate it. Including to uncertainty value assessment of the pressure. The training course was organized by Corporation and partnership development group on 18 – 19 July 2022 at NIMT Pathum Thani province.

Head of Human Resource Management and Development Mr.Tosporn Eithkong represented as NIMT to listen to sermon of the Vessantara Jataka on Himmapana due to the important Buddhist days; Asanha Bucha day and Khao Phansa day (Buddhist lent day). This is also the day when the first Buddhist monk was ordained. Mr.Tosporn and others went to Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, Bangkok to hearing to the sermon on 11 July 2022.

NIMT Human Resource Development provided a course “Advanced Microsoft Excel 2019: Macro and VBA Programming” for NIMT staff to learn and develop staff’s Microsoft Excel skill. The staff could be able practice and learn writing a program by VBA (Visual basic for application). It would be facilitated to their works. The course was trained by Career for the Future Academy (CFA) and held at NIMT Pathum Thani province, on 4 – 8 July 2022.

Uthai Norranim as a QC manager holds a meeting ISO/IEC 17025 Pathway A

Assistant Director of NIMT Flg.Off. Uthai Norranim as a quality control manager was a chairperson for ISO/IEC 17025 pathway A meeting via online system. In the meeting, metrologists from Force laboratory, Hardness laboratory and Innovation and equipment development group included to Ms.Rugkanawan Wongpithayadisai, metrologist and works as QC assistant manager were attended the meeting. NIMT invited Khun Sirorat Thonhamkaew as technical expert from TISI and international technical expert Dr.Yon Kyu Park from KRISS. The meeting was held from NIMT Pathum Thani province on 4-8 July 2022.

NIMT moves forward to cooperating on developing metrology system with Kamphaengphet Rajabhat University under the Reinventing Universisity project

Mrs. Ajchara Charoensook Director of NIMT, together with her staff, Dr. Chaiwat Jassadajin Head of Primary Electrical, Time and Frequency Group and Dr.-Ing. Narudom Noulkhow Head of Corporation and Partnership Development Group were speakers under the cooperation activity for metrology system development in the project of Reinventing University in order to support developing ReSkill & UpSkill potential on “Metrology for students, university staff and entrepreneurs”. It was taught in accordance with the introduction of metrology for scientist curriculum on 6 – 7 July 2022 at Suphannika meeting room, Kamphaengphet Rajabhat University, Kamphaengphet province. This curriculum has consisted of 3 topics, namely, 1) Metrology and Quality System, 2) Metrology and Measuring Equipment Management, and 3) the introduction of Measuring Uncertainty. Those who have passed this curriculum will earn a certificate from NIMT. This curriculum will increase skills on metrology to the students, university staff and entrepreneurs to be prepared for the labour market and enhance productivity in the industrial sectors.
