NIMT is pleased to host the APMP Workshop entitled “Improving Water Quality through Accurate Anion Measurement: Laboratory Capability Building in the Asia Pacific Region”, held from 9–11 June 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The workshop brought together participants from National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), Designated Institutes (DIs), and testing laboratories across the Asia-Pacific region to enhance technical capabilities in anion measurement and support the improvement of water quality monitoring. The programme aimed to strengthen regional measurement competence, promote the adoption of best practices, and foster collaboration among laboratories engaged in water analysis.
The three-day workshop was conducted across three distinguished venues: The Mandarin Hotel, NIMT, and the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA). Participants attended technical lectures, practical discussions, and laboratory activities covering measurement techniques, quality assurance, metrological traceability, and the application of accurate anion measurements in water quality assessment.
Through this workshop, NIMT reaffirmed its commitment to supporting capacity building within the Asia-Pacific metrology community and contributing to the advancement of reliable measurements that underpin environmental monitoring and sustainable water resource management in the region.
