Ms. Rugkanawan Wongpithayadisai, from NIMT, was invited by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) to serve as an external auditor for the Quality Management System (QMS) External Review conducted at the BIPM Headquarters in Sèvres, France, on 8-9 June 2026.
The invitation reflects international recognition of Ms. Rugkanawan’s expertise and experience in quality management and metrology. As an external auditor, she participated in the independent assessment of the BIPM’s Quality Management System, contributing to the evaluation of its effectiveness, compliance with established requirements, and continual improvement processes.
The BIPM is the intergovernmental organization responsible for ensuring worldwide uniformity of measurements and their traceability to the International System of Units (SI). Maintaining a robust Quality Management System is essential to supporting the BIPM’s mission and the confidence of the global metrology community.
Ms. Rugkanawan’s participation in this important review demonstrates NIMT’s active contribution to the international metrology community and highlights the institute’s commitment to promoting excellence in quality management and measurement science at the global level.
