Mrs. Surat Leeudomwong, Group Leader of Acoustics and Vibration from NIMT, was invited to serve as a technical expert for a peer review of acoustics at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), held during 2–3 April 2026 in New Delhi, India.
The peer review covered several key calibration capabilities in the field of acoustics, including primary microphone calibration, working standard microphone calibration, sound calibrator calibration, multi-frequency sound calibrator calibration, and sound level analyzer calibration. These activities support CSIR-NPL’s efforts in maintaining and submitting Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) in accordance with international standards.
Her role as a peer reviewer contributed to strengthening technical confidence, ensuring compliance with international metrology requirements, and promoting mutual recognition among National Metrology Institutes (NMIs). The engagement also fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange between NIMT and CSIR-NPL in the field of acoustics and vibration metrology.
