Ms. Charuayrat Yaokulbodee, Head of the Thermometry and Optical Metrology Department and Quality Manager, together with Ms. Thanakporn Nontachart, from NIMT, participated in the 2nd Workshop on the Development of Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) DEC Strategic Planning 2027–2029.
The workshop was held from 2–3 April 2026 in Indonesia and brought together representatives from member economies to collaboratively develop the strategic direction of the APMP Developing Economies’ Committee (DEC) for the period 2027–2029.
The main objectives of the workshop were to review the current strategic framework, identify key priorities and challenges faced by developing economies, and formulate actionable plans to strengthen capacity building, technical cooperation, and sustainable development in metrology across the Asia-Pacific region.
During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions and group activities focusing on enhancing regional collaboration, improving knowledge transfer, and aligning DEC initiatives with global trends and emerging needs in metrology. The outcomes of this workshop will contribute to shaping a robust and forward-looking strategic plan to support developing economies within APMP.
The participation of NIMT in this workshop reflects its continued commitment to international collaboration and its active role in supporting the advancement of metrology in the region.
