NIMT Researcher Joins PTB Guest Scientist Programme in Germany

Dr. Achaya Teppitaksak, Metrologist from the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), has been invited to participate in the Guest Scientist Programme at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), in Braunschweig, Germany.

Under this programme, Dr. Achaya undertook one month of joint research from 17 November to 16 December 2025 within Working Group 4.21: Form and Wavefront Metrology, as part of the RADIUS project. The research focuses on advanced form and wavefront metrology, contributing to the development of high-precision optical measurement techniques that are essential for cutting-edge industrial and scientific applications.

This research stay reflects the strong and continuous collaboration between NIMT and PTB and highlights NIMT’s active role in international research cooperation. The knowledge and experience gained from this programme will further strengthen Thailand’s metrology capabilities and support the advancement of precision measurement research at the national and international levels.
