Pol. Lt. Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, warmly welcomed delegates from the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM) on the occasion of their participation in metrology training in Acoustics and Vibration, held on 8–19 December 2025 at NIMT.
Under the Acoustics program, Mr. Akhmadbek Mukhamad Aminov attended technical training on the manual measurement of anechoic chambers, calibration methods for air and bone conduction systems, sound level meters, sound calibrators, and the determination of microphone sensitivity.
In parallel, the Vibration training was attended by Mr. Diyorbek Sultanov and Mr. Ulugbek Panjiev, focusing on the transfer of vibration magnitude values from the primary standard to the secondary standard, with an emphasis on ensuring measurement traceability and calibration accuracy.
The training was conducted under the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) project “Supporting the Reform of the National Quality Infrastructure in Uzbekistan”, which aims to strengthen Uzbekistan’s measurement capabilities in line with international standards. The program combined in-depth theoretical sessions with hands-on practical exercises, enabling participants to enhance their technical competencies and apply the knowledge directly within their laboratories.
The successful completion of this Acoustics and Vibration metrology training marks an important milestone in advancing UzNIM’s measurement capabilities. It also further strengthened the collaborative partnership among NIMT, PTB, and UzNIM, laying a strong foundation for continued cooperation and future joint initiatives.
