Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of NIMT, together with department head and staffs, welcomed Mr. Jun Tanimoto, Vice President of the Japan Measuring Instruments Federation (JMIF), along with delegation from Japanese companies in the measuring-instrument sector. The event was held on 17 November 2025, at Phadung Matra Building, NIMT, Pathumthani.
The visit aimed to facilitate fruitful discussion and a guided tour of NIMT’s laboratories such as electricity, length, mass, temperature and robotics, serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, technical expertise, and practical experience in the field of metrology. This engagement not only reinforced the strong networks within the measuring-instrument sector but also further strengthened the long-standing cooperation between Thailand and Japan in this important area.
On this occasion, JMIF introduced the 2nd International Conference of Weighing (ICW2026), which will be held from 8-10 June, 2026 at Kitakyushu International Conference Center, Japan. With the theme “Innovative Weighing Solutions for a Sustainable World”, the program will include three parallel sessions—legal metrology, scientific metrology, and applied metrology—highlighting presentations on the advanced developments in the industry.
