NIMT Welcomes Delegation from PTB and PVSEC

Pol.Lt.Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), extended a warm welcome to representatives from the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), together with participants from the Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC), including delegates from India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The visit served as a platform for technical discussions and a guided tour of NIMT’s laboratories, providing an opportunity for participants to gain insight into metrological processes related to solar energy technologies. The engagement also fostered the exchange of expertise and technical knowledge that can be leveraged to advance renewable energy development in their respective countries. The event was held on 14 November 2025, at Phadung Matra Building, NIMT, Pathumthani.

During the visit, the Director highlighted the pivotal role of metrology in strengthening confidence in measurement results across the clean energy sector. He also emphasized that solar technology represents a critical pillar for Thailand’s sustainable and resilient energy future, and this knowledge-sharing will pave the way for new opportunities for future collaboration.
