NIMT attends the 24th meeting of NMI Directors and Member State Representatives

The Bureau International des poids et mesures (BIPM) is scheduled to host the 24th meeting of NMI Directors and Member State Representatives (PARTNERS) from October 16 to 17, 2025, at BIPM, France, which Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director, represents NIMT at this meeting.

The meeting is the annual assembly of member countries, with the BIPM serving as the international metrology organization — effectively acting as the secretariat responsible for technical and scientific operations of the General Assembly of the Metre Convention.

Currently, BIPM comprises over 100 member states, associate states and economies, including Thailand, which is represented by the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) – NIMT.

As a Member State to the Metre Convention, NIMT has the duty to attend the meeting in order to maintain Thailand’s membership status, contribute to BIPM’s policy formulation, and enhance Thailand’s leadership role in international metrology cooperation.

Additionally, NIMT aims to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration among National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), paving the way for the development of measurement standards through joint research and studies in the future.
