On 24 June 2025, a delegation from NIMT visited the Center for Quantum Technology at National Tsing Hua University, located near CMS in Hsinchu. The visit aimed to explore frontier research in quantum science and its implications for future metrology and precision measurement.
The NIMT delegates had the opportunity to tour several of the Center’s specialized laboratories, including:
– Ultracold Atom Laboratory – where researchers are developing systems that trap and cool atoms to near absolute zero, enabling ultra-precise experiments fundamental to quantum simulation and quantum sensing.
– Precision Measurement Laboratory – focused on high-sensitivity techniques and advanced instrumentation for time, frequency, and fundamental constant measurements.
– Quantum Photonics Laboratory – dedicated to the development of quantum light sources, integrated photonics, and technologies applicable to quantum communication and quantum computing.
This engagement provided NIMT with valuable insights into the intersection of quantum physics and measurement science. It also helped strengthen academic and research linkages that could support future collaboration in areas such as quantum sensors, time standards, and emerging quantum-enabled technologies.
By connecting with leading quantum research institutes, NIMT continues to position itself at the forefront of scientific advancement in support of Thailand’s innovation-driven economy.
