NIMT Reinforces Regional Leadership in Green Energy Metrology at APMP Symposium

On 19 June 2025, the delegates from NIMT, led by Pol.Lt.Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, participated in the Green Energy Symposium – Metrology, Testing and Certification, held at the ITRI Central Region Campus in Nantou. This international forum was part of the APMP Mid-Year Meetings 2025 and focused on the vital role of metrology in supporting the transition to sustainable energy systems.

The symposium brought together global experts from national metrology institutes, industry, and academia to address emerging challenges and innovations in green energy metrology. Key topics included photovoltaic (PV) systems, EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), power quality, and hydrogen energy measurement and certification.

As part of the event, NIMT delegates also joined the Green Building Introduction and Guide Tours, showcasing Taiwan’s efforts in integrating metrology with sustainable design, smart energy systems, and environmental innovation.

Highlighting NIMT’s regional leadership in the field, Dr. Oijai Ongrai, Senior Metrologist of NIMT and Chair of the APMP Energy Efficiency Focus Group (EEFG), was invited to deliver the closing remarks.

NIMT’s active engagement in the symposium underscores its ongoing commitment to developing cutting-edge measurement capabilities that support Thailand’s energy goals and contribute to global sustainability efforts
