Pol. Lt. Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, NIMT Director, warmly welcomed Mr. Kamoliddin MAKHAMATOV, Senior Scientist from the DC Resistance, Power and Energy Laboratory of the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM), Republic of Uzbekistan, who participated in the Calibration of Magnetic Field Strength Meters training programme held at NIMT from 13–24 July 2026.
The training programme was organized in collaboration with Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany, under the project “Support to the Reform of the National Quality Infrastructure in Uzbekistan Phase II.” The two-week programme combined lectures and hands-on practical training covering the principles of magnetic flux density measurement, calibration techniques for magnetic field strength meters and reference magnets, magnetic field generator and Helmholtz coil calibration, as well as measurement uncertainty evaluation and reporting.
Through this programme, NIMT continues to share its technical expertise and contribute to capacity building for national metrology institutes, reinforcing international collaboration and promoting reliable and traceable measurements in support of quality infrastructure.
