Pol. Lt. Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, together with Mr. Wirun Laopornpichayanuwat, Head of Mechanical Metrology Department, and NIMT team, warmly welcomed Engr. Ma. Nazarene M. Baculanta from the National Metrology Laboratory of the Philippines, Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI), Department of Science and Technology on the occasion of her participation as an observer in a measurement comparison on infusion pump analyzers conducted from 10 to 12 March 2026.
The visit encompassed in-depth technical discussions and practical observation of measurement procedures in a laboratory environment, including measurement traceability, uncertainty evaluation, and related technical practices under the guidance of NIMT experts. These activities constitute a critical component of bilateral comparisons with other National Metrology Institutes (NMIs), which are fundamental to establishing international equivalence and demonstrating technical competence.
NIMT is confident that this technical exchange will be mutually beneficial and further enhance alignment with internationally recognized best practices.
