The National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) has the honor of welcoming distinguished representatives from the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV) on 6 February 2026 for discussions regarding the potential hosting of the International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV) 2027 in Thailand.
On this occasion, Pol. Lt. Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, together with Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director, and NIMT team, warmly received Dr. Malcolm J. Crocker, Executive Director of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV), and Mr. Michel Rosmolen, Section Director for Southeast Asia.
The meeting focused on preparations and collaborative planning for organizing ICSV 2027 in Thailand. The International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV) is a prestigious global conference that brings together leading experts, researchers, and professionals in the fields of acoustics and vibration from around the world.
NIMT expressed its strong willingness to serve as the host of ICSV 2027 and looks forward to welcoming participants from across the globe to Thailand for this important international event.
The visit reflects Thailand’s strong commitment and readiness to strengthen international collaboration in acoustics and vibration, while further enhancing the country’s role in the world metrology and scientific community.
