On 26 November 2025, the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) reached another important milestone in their long-standing partnership by signing a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The signing ceremony took place during the 41st APMP General Assembly and Related Activities in Incheon, Republic of Korea, with Pol.Lt.Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, and Dr. Ho Seong Lee, President of KRISS, representing the two institutions.
NIMT and KRISS have enjoyed close cooperation since 1997, with successive renewals demonstrating the enduring trust, strong friendship, and shared commitment to advancing measurement science. This year also holds special significance as KRISS celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of leadership and contributions to global metrology
At the conclusion of the ceremony, both institutions reaffirmed their dedication to continued collaboration, moving forward “with trust, vision, and friendship — as true partners in precision and progress.”
