Dr. Bunthoon Laongsri, representing the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), attended the 22nd APMP/TCQM Gas Analysis Group Workshop and the Focus Group Workshop on Climate Change and Clean Air, held on 10-14 August 2025 at the Holiday Inn Sepang, Malaysia.
During the meeting, Dr. Buthoon presented updates on gas analysis activities and shared NIMT’s contributions to advancing measurement science in the region. He also followed up on the progress of key interlaboratory comparisons – APMP.QM-K3.2019 and APMP.QM-S18, which were important for ensuring consistency and reliability in gas measurement across member countries.
Additionally, Dr. Buthoon introduced NIMT’s proposal to host the 2026 Workshop in Thailand, highlighting the country’s readiness and commitment to supporting APMP technical collaboration, as well as reinforcing the role of metrology in addressing climate change and improving air quality.
NIMT’s active participation in these workshops reflected Thailand’s engagement in international scientific collaboration and its efforts to enhance measurement standards that contribute to environmental sustainability and global climate action.
