Dr. Narin Chanthawong, Group Leader of Nano Metrology, National Metrology Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) was invited as a speaker at the 4th China-ASEAN Standardization Cooperation Forum held on 27 August 2025 in Nanning, People’s Republic of China.
Under the theme “Innovation Cooperation in AI Standardization Empowers the Construction of China-ASEAN Community with a Shared Future”, Dr. Narin delivered a presentation focusing on key areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its integration into metrology and standardization and the development of national measurement systems to support industry, innovation, and global competitiveness.
The forum served a strategic platform for knowledge exchange between China and ASEAN member states, promoting collaboration in emerging technologies and standardization efforts. NIMT’s contribution underscored Thailand’s active role in advancing metrology and supporting regional initiatives that aligned with sustainable growth and digital transformation.
Dr. Narin’s participation not only highlighted NIMT’s expertise in AI applications but also reinforced Thailand’s commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation in standardization, particularly in areas addressing future industrial needs.
