30 July 2025 – A delegation from the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT), led by Pol.Lt.Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Director of NIMT, participated in a technical visit to China Southern Power Grid. The visit was part of the 5th Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Symposium in Metrology and Related Activities, hosted by the NIM in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People’s Republic of China.
During the visit, NIMT was introduced to the corporate profile and key operations of China Southern Power Grid, which spans power transmission, distribution, and smart grid development. The company has also expanded its services to include various types of EV charging stations, integrating modern, smart, and energy-efficient technologies.
This engagement provided NIMT with valuable insights into the latest innovations in EV charging infrastructure, deepening the understanding of measurement applications in the energy and transportation sectors. The visit further strengthened NIMT’s perspective on the critical role of metrology in supporting emerging technologies and fostering regional collaboration for sustainable development.
