Seminar on “Communication management for change management” to NIMT

NIMT arranged an online seminar on “Communication management for change management” to NIMT staff members. In this event, Human recourse department of NIMT invited Assc.Prof.Dr. Judhaphan Padunchewit, a lecturer from Siripattana Training Center, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). The seminar was held online between August 3-4, 2021 for internal NIMT staff.

Communications are vital and well recognized that it is the key role to manage the change in the organization. It will bring NIMT to the leading organization. The development of communication skills is exceedingly necessary to the new era executive as the change executive. All participants gained new concepts of the communication skills and be able to apply them for their works.

ISO9001:2015 MASCI Quality Audit to NIMT

Assistant Director Flg.Off. Uthai Norranim as NIMT quality system manager and his staff members welcomed two auditors Ms.Naphawan Chareonying and Ms. Wassana Un-arun from Management System Certification Institute (Thailand) or MASCI. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the audit was held online. The audit is an annual event to certificate the NIMT quality system to reach the MASCL standards. There are many requirements which NIMT is following and improve as MASCI advice. The audit was held between 29 – 30 July 2021 from NIMT, Pathum Thani.

NIMT Online training on “UKAS LAB14 Calibration of weighing Machines”

NIMT Business Development Group organized the online training on “UKAS LAB14 Calibration of weighing Machines” to the interested participants from both the public and private sectors. This training was managed and taught by NIMT metrologists Mr.Monchai Mitr-Aree and Mr.Warun Laopornpichayanuwat from Primary Mass Standards and Related Quantities Group, Department of Mechanical Metrology. This training helps the participants gain more knowledge related to the principle of mass metrology, the basics of weighing machines and weighing machine classification. Moreover, the participants will be able to describe the process of UKAS LAB14 Calibration of weighing Machines correctly. The training was online from NIMT Pathum Thani province, between 22 – 23 July 2021.

NIMT handovers Infrared thermometer tester to Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University

Deputy Director of NIMT Mr.Anusorn TONMUANWAI and his staff members handovered the infrared thermometer tester to the representatives of Vajira hospital, Vice dean Asst.Prof.Anusaeng Jitsomkasem and Chief of Medical tool office Ms.Somsakul Boonkasem at NIMT Pathum Thani on 22 July 2021.
It is NIMT’s free of charge service under the project of non-contact infrared thermometer calibration for medical institutes and public units. The tester was invented and developed by NIMT metrologists for fieldwork use. Many thermometers being used might be in error and need to calibrate. Generally, the thermometer should be calibrated at NIMT. But, in this situation, it takes much time to do that. The tester will facilitate and increase productivity to screen infected patients. With this project, NIMT can help to serve and support the government closely to reduce the COVID-19 patients in the country.

NIMT online seminar on NIMT Strategic Foresight

NIMT Administration and Human Resource Development Group, Central Administration Department organized the online seminar on “NIMT Strategic Foresight” for senior staff participants. NIMT invited Dr.Chaiyatorn Limapornvanich, Director of Innovation Strategy, National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) (NIA) as a speaker to give Foresight critical thinking analysis techniques for future design. The Foresight will assist and facilitate organization management to NIMT and be able to build an executive to be an innovation change agent. The participants will bring this knowledge to apply for NIMT strategic management, organization structure to bring into an agreement with Thailand 4.0 policy. The seminar was hosted by NIMT from NIMT, Pathum Thani province on 14 July 2021.

Corporation and Partnership Development Group under the Policy and Strategy Department organised a training on Laboratory Quality System ISO/IEC 17025:2017(E) Batch 3, training by Acting Head of Mechanical Metrology Department Mr Wirun Laopornpichayanuwat and Professional Primary Thermometry Standard Metrologist Ms Panatda Panpech to  various participants from public and private sectors. The training focused on making well-understanding about the meaning and requirements of the system. Additionally, it was a preparation for the practical implementation of the system. It was an online training from Matra Dhamrong Building, NIMT during April 29-30, 2021.

Training on “Understand and Interpret a Calibration Certificate Batch 3”

Corporation and Partnership Development Group under the Policy and Strategy Department organised a training on “Understand and Interpret a Calibration Certificate Batch 3”, training by Acting Leader of Primary Electrical, Time and Frequency Standard Group Dr Monthol Homklintian to various participants from public and private sectors. The training needed the participants to realize the significance of the certificate. The participants had to describe metrological terms written on the certificate and know important elements of the certificate. Finally, the participant would be able to calibrate and use data in the certificate to assess the measuring uncertainty. Moreover, the participants were enabled to indicate the right method to use the calibration laboratory. It was an online training from Matra Dhamrong Building, NIMT on April 28, 2021.

Training on “Mathematical model for the uncertainty measurement and calibration’s assessment”

Corporation and Partnership Development Group under the Policy and Strategy Department organised a training on “Mathematical Model for Assessment in the Uncertainty of Measurement and Calibration” online. This training organised for the participants from various organisations of public and private sectors. It was lectured by NIMT two professional metrologists, Dr.Monthol Homklintian, an expert in primary electrical, time and frequency standards and Mrs.Natenapit Khunmthukthip, an expert in direct current, low frequency, high frequency and electromagnetic fields. The aims of the training were to gain knowledge about the guidelines for measurement modelling to design measurement models and to enable to assess the uncertainty of measurement and calibration. The seminar was held online from Matra Dhamrong Building, NIMT during April 22 –23, 2021.

NIMT sends an expert to ensure the measurement accuracy and calibration of high precise weighing for injection equipment COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca.

National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) sent a professional metrologist in primary mass standards and related quantities metrologist, Mr. Monchai Mitaree to ensure the measurement accuracy and calibration of high precise weighing for COVID-19 vaccine injecting equipment AstraZeneca at Vajira Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University on April 9, 2021.

In this regard, Associate Professor Anan Manomaipiboon, M.D., as acting president of the university met and talked with Mr.Monchai Mitaree about the significance of balance calibration which is able to examine the injecting equipment of COVID-19 vaccine AstraZeneca. It enhances confidence in the measurement result that builds a safety and effectiveness to the vaccine recipients.

Moreover, Mr.Monchai minutely described to the hospital staff members about the fundamental examination of the balance. Before using the balance, it must conduct internal calibration first. Consequently, he gave the calibration method to the staff. After that, he calibrated the balance as EURAMET calibration Guild No.18 to measure the errors of indications. NIMT and Navamindradhiraj University have signed the mutual cooperation in medical research, medical metrology innovation development and research, especially, metrology knowledge-based against the COVID-19 that two institutes are highly concerned about. They contribute and lead metrology and medical against the COVID-19 in Thailand.

Director of NIMT to give the institutional policy and strategy

Ms. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT gave her strategical plan to drive NIMT for her second administration to all NIMT members. Director gave Goals, Ideas, Direction to Work that will make the same well understanding to develop the institute and response to our customers and stakeholders in the long run. Under the newest plan, NIMT strongly believe that we enable to adjust to the sensitivity of global change and the current situation properly.
