ASEAN NEXT Workshop at NIMT (March 22, 2018)

Ministry of Science and Technology has organized “ASEAN NEXT 2018” to encourage partnerships in the science,, technology and innovations developed between ASEAN.  The event is being held under the theme “Rising STI Networking for Innovation ASEAN”.  On this occasion, NIMT has organized workshop in the field of Mass, Hardness, Force, Torque, Density and Pressure.  The function was held at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathumthani province.

ASEAN NEXT Workshop at NIMT (March 20, 2018)

Mr. Anusorn  TONMUANWAI, Assistant NIMT Director welcomed participants who attended ASEAN NEXT 2018 Workshop in the field of Mass, Hardness, Force, Torque, Density and Pressure.  The objective was to encourage partnerships in science, technology and innovations developed between ASEAN.  The function was held under the theme “Rising STI Networking for innovation ASEAN” at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathumtani province.

APMP-DEC Leadership Training 2017 (4-8 December 2017)

Mrs. Ajchara CHAROENSOOK, NIMT Director together with NIMT metrologists team and participants from abroad such as Bangladesh, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates and Thailand joined APMP-DEC Leadership Training on 4-8 December 2016 at Well Hotel Sukhumvit 22 , Bangkok. The honorary keynote speakers by Dr. Toshiyuki Takatsuji, Director, Research Institute for Engineering Measurement, National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ) Dr.Chingis Kuanbayev from the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM). Dr. Philip Dearden – Head of Center from the Center for International Development and Training UK and Mrs. Ajchara CHAROENSOOK. The Leadership training is designed to provide new leaderships or future leaders of APMP-DEC NMIs, including new TC Chairs and Chair-elect depending on place availability, who have shown potential for leadership with the skills, knowledge and tools to help them participate in the mechanisms of the CIPM MRA. The training provides participants with an understanding and enabling them to be highly effective in their involvement in the CIPM MRA requirements relating to comparisons, CMC review process, use of the KCDB, strategic plan and focus group, and the role of international organizations by combining theoretical and practical perspectives and bringing important personal contributions to the further development to their country.

 

Secretary, DOST – Philippines visit NIMT (August 25, 2017)

Mrs. Ajchara  CHAROENSOON, NIMT Director together with her executives welcomed Prof. Fortunato T. De Le Peña, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Philippines and his team on the occasion of listening to the lecture and visiting NIMT laboratories.  The objective was to establishing co-operation between the two countries.  The function was held at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.

RCM-LIPI Training on Measurement Techniques by NIMT (July 3 – August 30, 2017)

Inorganic Analysis Group, Chemical Metrology & Biometry Department arranged a training under the Bilateral Program between PTB and RCM-LIPI in the field of “Quality assurance in environmental and Food analysis in Indonesia”. On this occasion NIMT gave a support on the lecturer to give knowledge to  Ms. Christine ELISHIAN, RCM-LIPI officer. The purpose of this training was to give knowledge on the understanding of  heavy metal measurement techniques in both theoretical and practical.  The function was held at the Phadungmat building, NIMT , Pathum Thani province.

TDEM visiting Acoustics and Vibration Lab (June 13, 2017)

Mr. Anusorn  TONMUANWAI, Assistant Director together with metrologists welcomed officers from Measurement & Instrumentation Engineering team from Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TDEM) on the occasion of visiting Acoustics and Vibration Metrology Laboratory.  The objective of this visit was to enhance and understanding to increase confidence and cooperation between members in the future.  The function was held at Acoustics and Vibration Metrology Laboratory Building, Bangkok.

NIMT – DIT discussion (June 1, 2017)

NIMT Director, Mrs.Ajchara CHAROENSOOK together with Mr. Anusorn  TONMUEANWAI, NIMT Assistant Director and NIMT delegation meet with Mr. Suchat Sinrat, Deputy Director General, Department of Internal Trade (DIT) for opening a discussion on technical cooperation in development of the “Type Approval” measuring instrument. Nevertheless, both parties agreed to undertake an observation for their target measuring instruments before the agreement on technical cooperation in future.

Training for KaoYai National Park Staffs (June 2, 2017)

Acoustic and Vibration Metrology, Dimensional Metrology Department, NIMT organized training event in collaboration with Pollution Control Department and Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation for Kaoyai National Park staffs in the subject “Vehicle Sound Measurement ” during 1-2 June 2017 at Kaoyai National Park with the aim of providing accuracy measurement knowledge and how to properly use and maintenance the tools.

 

Collaboration NIMT and SIIT (May 4, 2017)

Mrs. Ajchara CHAROENSOOK, NIMT Director together with Mr. Anusorn  TONMUEANWAI, NIMT Assistant Director, welcomed Professor Dr. Somnuk TANGTERMSIRIKUL, Director, and Dr. Stanislav S. Makhanov from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University on the occasion of signing Memorandum of Understanding between National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) : NIMT and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology : SIIT under collaborative research, which includes interesting research topics for both parties, coordinated seminars, conferences, or joint scholarships for SIIT courses for NIMT staff.  The objective of this MoU was to promote the research and education of both organizations.  The function was held at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.
