Flow Laboratory, Mechanical Metrology Department, arranged a training under the topic of “Training on Bell Prover Calibration” to NIMT Metrologists who work in Flow Laboratory, Mechanical Metrology Department, gave a lectured by guest speaker, Dr. Rainer Kramer, Head of Working Group 1.42, Gas Meters from Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt : PTB and Mr. Alois Ehrler, CEO, ep-e.com company, Germany.  The objective of this training was to give more knowledge on Sonic Nozzle, Rotary Gas Meter, Subsonic Venturis, Laminar Flow Elements, Ultra Sonic Gas Meter, Turbine Gas Meter and Wet Gas Meters.  The function was held at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.

Mr. Anusorn TONMUENWAI, Head of Dimensional Metrology Department and NIMT staffs joined measurement  of the large Thailand Flag for the purpose of celebrating 100 years anniversary of Thailand National Flag and thereafter to set up at leaning  center at Chiangrai province, north of Thailand. The result of the flag measurement is 63.5 metres length and  41.9 metres wide. By the way, the large size of this flag will be presented to Guinness World Records for the most largest national flag in the world.

Mr. Prayoon Shiowatana, NIMT Director participated in the Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF) 3^rd Annual Meeting was held on 5-6 October at Tokyo, Japan. The opening remarks by Mrs. Akie Abe, spouse of Mr. Shinzo Abe,  Prime Minister of Japan. The ICEF meeting mentioned on the problem of  Co2 emissions from electricity and manufacturing and brainstorming to generate the new idea of Innovation for realizing the Net Zero Anthropogenic Emission of Co2 for solving global warming effects.

Mr. Prayoon Shiowattana , NIMT Director, welcomed metrologist delegation from  Lao People’s Democratic Republic ( Lao PDR) for attending training and workshop in various metrology fields at NIMT such as Mass (Mechanical Metrology), Temperature (Thermometry Metrology) and Electrical (Electrical Metrology) so as to develop their laboratories those are important factor for enhancing National Quality Infrastructure :NQI towards society quality culture.

Mr. Prayoon Shiowattana , NIMT Director, welcomed Dr.Pravit Leestapornwongsa, commissioner of National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) with NBTC delegation for the  visiting NIMT laboratories at Phadungmat bldg., Klong5, Pathumtani,  in order to provide an occasion for collaboration between NIMT and NBTC in future.

Torque Laboratory, Mechanical Metrology, NIMT organized workshop on “ Intermediate Check for Torque Weight & Beam” lectured by Mr. Tassanai Sanpolpat, Head of Hardness and Torque Laboratory, Mechanical Metrology, “ The Regulations and Related Reference Standard and Secondary Primary Torque Measurement Standard”, “The Appropriate Verification and Intermediate Check” as well as practical workshop for interested members. The seminar was held at NIMT, Pathumtani.

Dr. Panadda  SILVA, NIMT Deputy Director and Metrologists welcomed Quality Auditor from Thailand Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and Technical Experts from National Metrology Institute of Japan :NMIJ, Japan that consists of Mr. Masaaki UEKI, Senior Researcher, Mass Standards Group, Technical Expert on Mass Laboratory, Dr. Kenichi FUJII, Prime Senior Researcher, Leader, Mass Standards Group, Technical Expert on Density Laboratory and Dr. Kazumi INAGAKI, Group Leader, Environmental Standards Group, Research Institute for Material and Chemical Measurement, Technical Expert on Inorganic Analysis Laboratory on the occasion of re-assessment at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.

Mr. Prayoon SHIOWATTANA, NIMT Director, together with executives and metrologists welcome Mr. Wilfried SCHULTZ from German Accreditation Bodies (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH : DAkkS, Germany on the occasion of Surveillance visit for Pressure Laboratory, Mechanical Metrology Department.  The function was held at Phadungmat building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province.
