NIMT congratulates to New MHESI Minister, Adj. Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas

Mrs. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT, together with her executives gave a fruit basket to join in the congratulation extended to Adj. Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas on the occasion of the royal command, accounting him to the new Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) at the MHESI head office, Rama VI Rd., Phaya Thai district, Bangkok on August 21, 2020.

The director of NIMT talked to the new minister Adj. Prof. Dr. Anek Laothamatas about recent advance in NIMT’s metrology.

The minister was born on 20 January 1954. He earned Bachelor of Science (Medical Technology), Chulalongkorn University, Master degree (Political Science): The University of Georgia, USA, and Doctor of Philosophy (Political Science), The Trustees of Columbia University, USA.

Training on Cardiotocography (Fetal Monitor)

Medical devices’ calibration, measurement and traceability manual drafting working group organized the training on the topic “Fetal Monitor” that was lectured to NIMT metrologists and the public, private and industrial sector participants by Mr. Pichet Tupbuchakorn, from Wealth Professional Ltd., Part.

The aims of this training were to gain knowledge about Fetal Monitor to the metrologists and participants, and to draft a manual of the calibration further at the building of Matra Thamrong, NIMT Technopolis, Phatum Thani province on August 20 2020.

NIMT places the Phan Phum to “The Father of Science of Thailand”

The 18th of August of every year is the National Science Day. With immense gratitude of his royal kindness the His Majesty King Phra Chom Klao Choa Yu Hua (King Rama IV), His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua graciously assigned the Privy Councillor Mr. Palakorn Suwannarat to place the King and the Queen’s Pham Phum to pay homage to the Monument of King Rama IV.

Training on Electrocardiograph and Electrosurgical Unit

A working group of drafting a work instruction for the medical devices’ calibration, measurement and traceability organized the training course on the topic of Electrocardiograph and Electrosurgical Unit that was lectured by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chissanuthat Bunluechokchai from the Department of Industrial Physics and Medical Instrumentation, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.

NIMT attends HM Queen Mother’s birthday celebrations

A group of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) representatives waited to welcome Their Majesties the King and Queen proceeded from Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall in Dusit Palace to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Bangkok to attend a royal ceremony to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s 88th birthday on August 12, 2020.

On this occasion, a group of NIMT staff representatives also attended the royal ceremony at the 1st Army Area Dusit Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, Bangkok.

New NIMT Employee Orientation: NIMT Employee On-boarding

Director of NIMT, Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook presided over the Opening Ceremony of the training “New NIMT Employee Orientation”. This training, the employees have acknowledged related to NIMT mission and strategy, and the working adaptation under its core value “I AM NIMT” to get to the goal of NIMT.

NIMT executives and related heads of the working group gave their lectures on regulation and welfare that will lead the new employees to recognize that they are even one part of the organization.

Public Organization 4.0 Strategy Management for NIMT executives

NIMT Human Resources Management and Development organized the course “Public Organization 4.0 Strategy Management for NIMT Executives”. The participants were the NIMT executives,  the heads of departments and people who was assigned to attend this course. They would be trained and acknowledged relevant into the preparation of strategy management which has been determined by NIMT towards the National Strategy Plan in the 4.0 Era. It would be integrated to develop Thailand to the goal that was officially indicated. This course was held at the training room, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok between 4-5 August 2020.

Online MOU Signing ceremony between National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) and National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ) to strengthen the mutual cooperation.

Director of NIMT Mrs.Ajchara Chareonsook, Assistant of NIMT Flg.Off.Uthai Norranim and four of their head of department members and Director General of NMIJ, Dr. USUDA Takashi and his staff attended the first time online MOU signing ceremony between NIMT and NMIJ on 3 August 2020 at NIMT Pathum Thani province, Thailand.

It is the third MOU between two institutes that present the strength of scientific and technological cooperation especially in the fields of metrology and measurement standards.

The aims of the MOU are including to the followings;
1. Exchange of information related with national metrology system,
2. Exchange of staff,
3. Collaboration in chemical and biological metrology, and
4. Other activities of mutual interest as many be recognized.

NIMT and NMIJ have enjoyed a long milestone friendship with each other. Over the two decades, various programs of cooperation have been established in the fields of research and application of scientific knowledge by individual institutions. This MOU, we will work together more closely towards our common goals and the pursuit of the internationalization of standard measurements.
