Training Division, the Corporation and Partnership Development Group organized a training on “The Calibration and Uncertainty Evaluation of Dial Gauge Testing /  Calibration Tester” that was given training by Dr. Muhummad Madden, Nano Metrologist, Professional.

The objectives of this training were 1) the participants will be able to use, calibrate and maintain the Dial Gauge Tester / Calibration Tester, and 2) the participants will be able to evaluate an uncertainty correctly at Phadung Matra building, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani province on July 22-23, 2020.

The aims of this training were 1) the participants will be able to calibrate the foundation of Digital Multimeters <½ Digits, 2) the participants will be able to interpret the Calibration Certificate after the calibration. Furthermore, they have learnt the technique and effect on measurement, and will be able to maintain the calibrator correctly at the administration department building, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani province on July 22-23, 2020.

NIMT Charity 2020 for Chompoo Sub-district Disability Services Centre (DSC) Saraphi District, Chiang Mai

NIMT Charity working group organized an event “I AM NIMT Charity Day 2020” to raise money for Chompoo sub-district Disability Services Centre. In this special event, the NIMT Jit-Arsa volunteer group hosted charity booths to sell and auction some stuffs for money donations, for example; Thai dessert and egg scoop game at the Phadung Matra plaza, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani province.

Director sang together with Deputy Director for the opening event.

The director gave a honour to play the egg scoop game.

UKAS LAB 14 Calibration of Weighing Machines Batch 2

Training Division, the Corporation and Partnership Development Group organized a training on “UKAS LAB 14 Calibration of Weighing Machines Batch 2” that was lectured to the public and private sector participants by  the acting head of mechanical metrology department Mr.Wirun Laopornpichayanuwat, and primary mass standard and relation quantities metrologist Mr. Monchai Mitaree. By the end of the training, the participants should be able to understand the foundation of mass and weighing machines, and classify the machines. Moreover, the participants should be able to describe the factors that affected the calibration of the machines and examine them before using.

Director attends Farewell Meeting for Minister of MHESI

Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT attended farewell meeting for Dr.Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) at MHESI, Rama IV Rd., Bangkok.

The minister was a chairperson of National Metrology Board. While serving as chairperson of National Metrology Board, he was a key person to further the project of National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) and greatly supported NIMT all along.

Training on “The principle of use and maintain Dimensional measurement tools”

Training Division, the Corporation and Partnership Development Group organized a training on the topic of the principle of dimensional measurement tools use and maintenance. The training was given to the public, private and industrial sector participants by Dr.Narin Chantawong, Dimensional metrologist.

The purposes of this training were 1) the participants would be able to use the 5 dimensional measurement tools; micrometre, vernier caliper, dial gauge, dial test indicator, and height gauge, 2) the participants would be able to maintain and calibrate the basis of the tools correctly. The training was held at the administration building, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani province on July 17, 2020.

NIMT Training: “The Calibration of Infrared Thermometer”

Training Division, the Corporation and Partnership Development Group organized a training on “the Calibration of Infrared Thermometer” that was given a lecture to the public, private and industrial participants by Dr.-Ing. Narudom Noulkhow, the acting head of the Corporation and Partnership Development Group.

The purposes of this course were to learn and understand about Noncontact thermometer, IR thermometer usage, Standard temperature source, IR thermometer traceability at ice-point, valued adjust due to the emissivity in the process of calibration, uncertainty evaluation, and the issuance and interpretation of the calibration certificate. The course was held at the administration department building, NIMT head office, Phatum Thani on July 15-17, 2020.

NIMT signs an agreement on Healthcare

Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT and staff attended a seminar on “Decode Thai Healthcare to International Standards” that organised by Department of Science Service (DSS) at Berkeley Hotel Pratunam Bangkok on July 16, 2020.


During the seminar, Director of NIMT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 15 organisations from 3 ministries. The aims of this agreement commit all allies to form the framework and guideline for Thailand’s medical innovation development to commercialise towards MHESI’s Healthcare Reinvention policy.
In this occesion, Mr. Ong-ard Panyachatiraksa, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) was a witness to the agreement.

NIMT and SUT sign the MoU for cooperation in education and academic exchange.

Mrs.Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT signed a MoU with Assoc. Prof. Dr.Weerapong Pairsuwan, Rector of  Nakhon Ratchasina’s Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) on 14 July 2020 at NIMT, Technopolis Klong Ha, Pathum Thani province to collaborate in the area of education and academic exchange. The MoU between both sides will be basis for discussions around staff development and metrological curriculum management including to mutual technology transfers for education and industrial promotions in the approaching future.

Training for Ventilator Analyzer under the theme “Medical Hub”

Mrs. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT opened a training for Ventilator Analyzer under the Project of Potential Industrial Competitive Enhancement on Regional Medical Hub with International Standards. Participants came from private and public sectors to attend this training. A trainer was Application Manager, Mr. Watcharapong Thongratkaew from Draeger Medical (Thailand) Ltd. The training was held at NIMT, Khlong Ha, Pathum Thani province on 13 July 2020.

Main purposed of this training was to draft a guideline for medical calibration, measurement, and traceability.

Director welcomed participants and expressed the purpose of the training.

Participants from both private and public sectors.
