The 45th Meeting of the APMP Developing Economies’ Committee (DEC-45) – Online, SESSION 1: 24 November 2022
Our NIMT executives and staff give reports and actively participate in this meeting as follows:
1. Dr. Charun Yafa, Assistant Director, gives a report on updates from NIMT.
2. Ms. Thanakporn Nontachart, DEC CMC Task Force Lead, gives a progress report on behalf of CMC Task Force.
3. Dr. Jariya Buajarern, Head of Dimensional Metrology Department / TCL-DEC Champion / DEC Future Proofing Task Force Lead, gives a progress report on behalf of Future Proofing Task Force.
4. Ms. Charuayrat Yaokulbodee, Head of Thermometry and Optical Metrology Department, gives a report from breakout to the plenary on behalf of Group 1.
5. Dr. Jariya Buajarern, Head of Dimensional Metrology Department / TCL-DEC Champion / DEC Future Proofing Task Force Lead, gives a report from breakout to the plenary on behalf of Group 3.
6. Ms. Rugkanawan Wongpithayadisai, TCQS Chair, gives a report from breakout to the plenary on behalf of Group 4.
7. Dr. Narin Chanthawong, Acting Group Leader, Nano Metrology Group, Dimensional Metrology Department, gives a report from breakout to the plenary on behalf of Group 6.

Miss Thanakporn Nontachart runs technical meetings on PM2.5 cooperation with NIM China and VMI

National Institute of Metrology (NIMT) organized a co-meeting on the project of PM10 and PM2.5 from haze smog and visibility Effective in Thailand. There were 3 agencies attending the meeting, namely, The National Institute of Metrology of China (NMI), Vietnam Metrology Institute (VMI), and National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT). Each party reported progress and discussed action plans to schedule a research trip at NMI in 2023. This meeting, there were ten attendees as follows.

  7. Mr. Thasorn Singhaneti, Metrologist, Department of Temperature and Optical Metrology
  8. Mr. Pollawat Jumparuang, Metrologist, Temperature and Optical Metrology Department
  9. Miss Benjarat Ngansulong, Laboratory staff Dimensional Metrology Department

In this meeting, Miss Thanakporn Nontachart, International Relations Officer, was the project manager and coordinator among them.

The PM10 and PM 2.5 from Haze Smog and Visibility Effect in Thailand is funded by the Lancang-Mekong Special Fund (LMC Special Fund) of the People’s Republic of China to standard measurement of PM2.5 and PM10 dust. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, the project has been rescheduled upon the current situation. Finally, the project will be expected that the project will be completed by 2023. The meeting was held online at Phadung Matra Building, NIMT,  Pathum Thani province on 11 November 2022.

Dr. Jariya Buajarern opens the 2nd Dimensional Metrology Club 2022 and opinion hearing on the DCC meeting

Dr. Jariya Buajarern, Head of Dimensional Metrology Department presided over the opening of the meeting “The 2nd Dimensional Metrology Club 2022 and opinion hearing on the Digital Calibration Certificate (DCC)”. The meeting was started sequentially from the report on the results of the annual proficiency testing project 2022 and corrective action guidelines by the Dimensional Metrology Department. Discussion for the annual dimensional metrology club activity plan and metrology services in the Digital Transformation era were talked by Dr. Narin Chanthawong, metrologist from the Dimensional Metrology Department. The opinion hearing on “Digital Calibration Certificate (DCC)” was talked by Ms. Praiya Thongluang and Ms. Sunantiya Parana, Researchers of the Metrology Project for the Digital Economy Transition. The meeting was held at the Meeting Room No.226, the Office of Central Administration Building, NIMT, Pathum Thani province on 8 November 2022.

Training on “Dial gauge and dial test indicator according to Japanese standards”

NIMT organised a training on “Dial gauge and dial test indicator according to Japanese standards” to the participants from public and private organisation. This training would practice them to understand how to maintain, estimate the uncertainty value, and calibrate. This class was given a training by Dr.Kittisun Mongkolsuttirat, Seniour Metrologist, and Dr. Narin Chanthawong, Seniour Metrologist from the department of dimensional metrology. It was held at NIMT Pathum Thani province on 9 – 10 August 2022.

Dr.Narin gave a lecture on Quality Control in Industrial 4.0

Dr. Narin Chanthawong, Dimensional Metrologist gave a lecture on “Quality Control in Industrial 4.0” in the Manufacturing Review @ Rayong at Pattana Golf Club & Resort Chonburi which held by Smart Trade Publication Co., Ltd., on 4 October 2019, in order to exchange and share beneficial knowledge to workers who works in the area of Eastern Industrial Zone.

In the seminar, there were exhibitions demonstrated Technological Productivity from various companies. Additionally, NIMT exhibited the project of Entrepreneur Development to Thailand 4.0 and lastly presented NIMT product and service.
