NIMT organises the meeting for the Project of Incubator and Certification on Medical Metrology Academic Ability.

Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of MINT as a chairperson opened the meeting of the Project of Incubator and Certification on Medical Metrology Academic Ability. This project is one sub-project of the Building Entrepreneur Strength on the Thai Medical Industrial Manufacturing and Service with Measurement Standards.

The project’s working group took a group photo with all participants in front of Matra Dhamrung building, NIMT.

According to the cabinet resolutions, the cabinet has agreed with the framework of Economic and Social Recovery Policies to assign the involving agencies submitted their project’s proposals to stimulate economic recovery to the normal. Due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand) (NIMT) as the national measurement standards and measurement standards method foresees a necessary to support the medical measurement standards or medical metrology to Thailand’s medical laboratory. Because of this reason, NIMT has organized the projects as mentioned to arrange trainings and advisory to the laboratory. NIMT will support and transfer medical measurement standards’ values including to its measurement standards’ methods which NIMT has originated.

Mr. Anusorn Tonmueanwai, Deputy Director of MINT as a chairperson of the meeting together with his team member introduced themselves and their project’s details to participants.

The participants paid their attention to the meeting.

NIMT will evaluate and certify the academic ability and also the comparison of measurement result management. NIMT will organise activities to support service users to submit for ISO17025 certification. Besides that, NIMT will start public relations to public perception nationwide. Lastly, this project will be a preparedness for the laboratory registering submission that reaches to the requirements of Department of Health Service Support, the Medical Engineering Division. The meeting held at NIMT’s Matra Dhamrong building, Phatum Thani province.

NIMT and Faculty of Medicine, CMU sign the Cooperation MoU

NIMT and Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University signed the Cooperation MoU at the Faculty of Medicine in Chiang Mai province on 10 July 2020. Ms. Ajchara Charoensook, Director of NIMT and Bannakij Lojanapiwat, M.D., Dean of Faculty of Medicine CMU signed the MoU on behalf of both sides. According to the MoU, both sides will promote and deepen collaboration under the framework of medical metrology, carry through various collaborative activities. During the meeting, the potential collaboration in the medical metrology development and collaborative research in medical devices that will be improved new knowledge for health and medical fields.

The Project Proposal Preparation Meeting for Establishment and Technology Transfer on Medical devices

Mr. Anusorn TONMUANWAI, Deputy Director of  NIMT, opened the project proposal preparation meeting for Establishment and Technology Transfer on the Standard of Measurement, Calibration and Testing on medical devices. The medical devices’ stakeholders and experts attended this meeting to assemble the project proposal at the central administration office, NIMT on 10th of June 2020.

Participants

The aims of the project are to train measurement method, national measurement standards for medical devices, and to incubate an academic ability in the dimension of medical metrology. The project plans to support and integrate with educational institutes and related agencies to transfer knowledge and technology about the medical metrology further.
