Laser Power Laboratory

Introduction

The NIMT laser power and energy calibration laboratory develops and maintains national standards for laser power and energy measurement. These include laser power and energy detectors and other optical and optoelectronic components used with lasers and in laser-based systems. The laboratory support calibration and applications of lasers in electronics, communications, manufacturing, medical and other fields. Up to date, there are 4 calibration facilities : low level power laser calibration system, fiber optic laser calibration syatem , laser energy (pulse laser) calibration system, and medium power laser calibration system.
