Light and Color Group is responsible for all measurements related to optical properties of light sources, detectors, and materials, and the group comprises three laboratories: Photometry Laboratory, Radiometry Laboratory and Spectrophotometry Laboratory.  Our main mission is to provide calibration and measurement services for light measuring instruments and standards such as providing luminous intensity value of a standard lamp, spectral transmittance values of a filter, or spectral reflectance values of a color sample, etc.  In addition to providing these measurement services, the Light and Color Group also provides consulting and training services as well as collaborates with various partners to transfer measurement technique and technology to needed stakeholders.  The group continuously develops all the measurement systems and standards to improve measurement accuracy and precision and take part in many researches to create new measurement innovations.  The group is a part of a big team to help strengthen Thailand Metrological System which is one of the main pillars of the Thailand national quality infrastructure.
